Dealing with Bad Customer Service
Did you have the best or the
worse customer service experience lately? Do you hate how
customer service almost seems to be a bad word in the vocabulary
of most salespeople? Suddenly, it's as if salespeople are doing you
a favor when you buy something from them.
Don't let it continue! At least
tell us about it and maybe someone else will read about the poor
service you received so they don't have to have the same
experience.(Tell
us).
When it comes down to it, there
is only one way to deal with bad customer service, take your
money elsewhere. Of course, life isn't always that simple.
Sometimes, you might really like a store, just not a certain
employee.
What should you do? Whenever you
are dealing with bad customer service, you should always ask to
speak to the manager. Give the manager a chance to rectify your
concerns, which can often me discounts or other freebies.
When I was a waiter, my manager
used to say, "One angry customer will tell 10 others of
their bad experience. A happy customer will come back and maybe
tell another person or two." The point is, bad customer
service can be very damaging to a business, and often, certain
employees, not management or ownership, are the problem.
If management isn't available,
call the corporate office or write a letter. You will be
surprised how often your concerns are addressed. Besides, at
least you will have gotten it off your chest.
Let us know the places that
